I'm having a hard time trying to find pictures of an E60 with M166 rims non-lowered / non-sport. If you guys can find some good examples, post em up please. I am getting these 19"'s installed this week on a Black, non-sport 530i and want to get an idea of how its going to look without the H&R Spring kit, (I am getting the car lowered in a couple of weeks because I have a bad feeling it'll look shitty).
Here is a pic of the rims I have now, probably the ugliest damn rims ever....
UGLY UGLY.

I found this pic. This is a non-lowered look, correct? To me, it seems that the gap between the rear fender and the tire looks wide or too pronounced. However, on my stock 17" rims, the gap is identical, but it doesn't bother the eye, why is that? The wheels are the same diameter. This pic doesn't look like its the M6 style in the rear. Looks like they're the same tires all around.

I would assume this is a non-lowered/non-sport as the chrome trim would be the give-away there...
this thread also has 19" 172's and 166's with non-sport suspension...

Well, I found some pics "WITH" an obvious 1.2-1.3" lowering with a sport package. Looks amazing. I just can't find good pics of one with stock springs. MAN I JUST LOVE THOSE RIMS!!! That car doesn't even have an m-tech kit and looks badass. Its the exact look I'm going for. I'm probably going to paint my brake calipers red just like that as well.

You will want to lower it -- don't even kid yourself otherwise!
I dropped mine with the H&R's and waited a week till I had the allignment done before putting the 166's on, so never even saw them with the factory sport package springs. Here's an "after" picture so you can see another shot of how yours will sit when you do the springs (I would really recommend Koni's at the same time -- wonderful handling).
Good luck.

Hello 'Howitzer"
Hey man, your car is not ugly one bit!!! Ugly is not having an BMW e60 at all to work with, customized with BMW OEM Parts, drive and enjoy!!! Mine looked just like yours does now, when I first bought it new in 2004, but it is T. Silver, and since then I have put out the $$$ using all BMW OEM Parts out of it.
It has been one long, expensive road, but fun and rewarding road for me, mine too is a not a sport, 530i, it just has BMW OEM M5 parts on it, next is lowering it and of course that Shadow line molding for 500.00!!
If you choose the 166's, They will look good on yours too, but just be sure to get the right tires size for a non M5 which I use: 245/35/19 (Front) and 285/30/19 (Rear) and they did not scrub on my stock e60 fenders one bit, or now, and after I check the suspension I plan to put the 255's on front like the real thing, the beast M5 has.
Hope this helps and be sure to PM me if you need any questions answered on your BMW, I will be glad to share what worked and did not work for me that can save you some money!! This e60 forum is a great place to be at when you need your questions answered by other e60 owners!!
Good Luck!!

My Ride: 2004 545i - Bone stock... help!
Hrm, my VIN lists my car as having 0226 Sports suspension settings... but it's not a sport package. Think this is lowered like the sport is? It's an '04 545i. I'm looking to get into these rims too and just don't really like the look on a non-sport. Thoughts?
And those rims aren't ugly, check the 116's.. THOSE are ugly! Total soccer mom rims!
