No bass from aux/radio/cd

This is my first post on this forum and I apologize in advance if this question has been asked and answered before but I could not find any threads with similar problems. Anyway..




A couple of days ago I bought my first BMW. It's a an E61 530D with a manual transmission, RWD and it's very nice to drive.


Now the problem is that there is no bass at all. It's like the songs had no bass originally. Songs and sound in general are louder on the radio than via the aux. To even be able to hear anything while playing music through the aux port I have to have turn up the volume to the max on the radio and max on the phone. When listening to the radio the volume is what I think is normal, however there is no bass/low end whatsoever.


I have read that this may be caused by the amp, but I don't know if I have one since I have the base sound system, and I read somewhere that in Europe these cars don't have amps.



Anyway, if anyone has had the same problem as I or knows what's the cause of this, I would very much like to know :)
