How can one do this? I am sick that no options for us LCI owners. All the lips are made for pre LCI cars. Can we buy pre LCI lips and have them custom mounted at a bodyshop?

Forget about it. Either pay up or don't bother with these cars. You seriously get what you pay for. A new bumper is like $350 and its well worth it. I did the budget route and got an ACS lip at first. I grew to hate it in about 3 months because its obvious that its an add-on and on a BMW that looks cheap! Don't put cheap on a luxury car.

i would think any lip u find for the lre-lci bumper will need a good amount of work to work with the lci bumper
:l
may even equate to the cost of a new bumper
an idea maybe to find a donor pre-lci bumper and have the bottom portion attached to your current lci... but again the cost will be pretty high <<<< most likely the most expensive
...just swapping out the front bumpers is another idea (find one on craigslist)... although some on here prefer the lci over the pre-lci bumper.... (i am not one of them) <<<< cheapest
as the others stated that a new bumper, typically the mtech of m5, would be a better choice if you want to up grade <<<< middle of the pack
of course after the mentioned $350 for a new bumper you will still have to get it painted ($300) and mounted
yea we know it gets pricey but these prices r kind of standard throughout all cars not just bimmers
