just wanted to add something thing to that it is possible to change the milage on the e60.. but unlike most cars the e60's instrument cluster only shows the millage of the cluster, you can change to a new cluster and that would possible show zero KMs...

the CAS would also have to carry over the actual km's to the cluster. CAS transfered my exact km's to my used M5 cluster but don't ask me how - I'm still reading up on this !
