Cool

Yesterday the dealer coded the M5 instrument cluster . Today I turned the key and I noticed 2000 km are missing

Who got them ?

Plus the letter of the gear engaged (D, N, R) is smaller than before. Now it is as in the LCI cars with an orange square around :

Maybe it becomes bigger as on the M5 little orange screen when the MDM light turns on (so removing DSC, on our normal E60) ?

The crown indicates 5500 rpm (it was cold) and all seems successful .

Pics will come during next days.

Good job, so it can be done. I would like to see more pics if you care to post them.

Let me some days and you will see a lot of pics of many mods, not only one

Still wondering if the Oil Temp Gauge will work as it or if it will continue to show the consumption : today we know that on the Steptronic it works as oil temp guage and on the manual transmission as consumption. But no details on the SMG .

Great mod, hope to get mine done as soon as parts arrive. I guess the option for it to be either a consumption or oil temp gauge as mentioned by some earlier is clearly off mark. Again congrats & well done

DTC on = MDM!!

[edit]

The rev limiter now is at 6300-6400 because they removed my remap with CIP 29.2

(damn dealer, you give them the car with half tank and at the end is always empty . Every time I reset the consumption gauge and finally it says 25l/100 km )

Did you have a custom rev limiter set before you went to the dealer ?

About the dealer driving around with your car, maybe that's why the km are not the same? He tried to "reset" them to the actual stand it were when you gave the car and made a small mistake ?
Just making guesses here but I heard some kind of stories in a BMW forum here in Germany and since then I warn them in a friendly way.....

I always take a picture of the Odometer when I leave the car at my dealership for service. I just don't trust them...

I've started to make the service myself now, since I then know its getting done the right way
