///M Footrest Install
I just ordered the OEM ///M footrest for my E60 (part number 51477900737). Has anyone ever installed one of these? If so, how does that go? I read around that you have to remove the footrest cover that's in there right now, is that the case? Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!

The dead pedal that's on the car now is glued to the carpeting. youll need to be very careful when removing it; if memory serves me correctly I used a combination of gentle prying along with a straight edge razor blade to help cut some of the old adhesive away. It took me about 15 minutes or so to get it off.
But yes, you need to remove the factory dead pedal thats in there now before you install the M dead pedal.
