Default looking for remote Codder to unlock some goodies

Hello
Ive ordered the cable and ive looked over the coding post and i feel as if its a lilttle over my head..

im still looking at what software
i see that NCS expert and NCS Dummy,, seem the most popular any thoughts on bmtechnic.co.uk

I have a PC,

I'd like to unlock these features.

windows and roof control on key fob
dvd plays in motion
no seat belt ding
load straight to media
Key fob eject
Unlock All Doors stop button
unlock audio options that are available..idk what they are..
Climate fan speed display via orange light around manual speed knob even in automatic climate mode
true car speed in digital speedometer.
Change incoming call 3 ringtones.
Removes Weatherband from entertainment source selection
Skip AM band on entertainment source selection
Seat heat hi-med-low slider in iDrive
Alarm sound when unlocking/locking the vehicle
Windows open with key fob but sunroof remains closed
Automatic headlamp cleaning
Fogs on with Brights

And your suggestions...
also what about mapping and flashing those are next..

What type of PC are you using? OS, RAM etc?

I can tell you that I have had great success with the package available from Bcables on eBay using an old HP laptop running 1.2Ghz Core Duo, 2GB RAM and Vista (don't laugh, it works!) OS. I installed this software package per the included instructions and everything worked in INPA straight away. I then downloaded BMW Coding Tool V2.50 to work in conjunction with NCSExpert and used it to update to the newest Daten files (V54).
So far, I've been able to code options to my car, update the VO, reset transmission adaptions, read/clear fault codes and even flash the Sport Auto firmware using WinKFP. I have step-by-step cheat sheets that I used to execute the coding, VO write and WinKFP flash that I'm more than happy to share. I had (essentially) zero coding experience prior to doing all of this on my car.

Biz77 I'd love some help and cheat sheets, I sent you a PM to see if I could get some help.

I've gotten pretty far with the sports auto firmware with some help from Wedge, but haven't heard back from him in a few days.. hoping to get some more help.

But if anyone has any answers:

I have gotten all the way up to writing to the ECU, and I got this error:
Error 211

Error on flash programming

Code Level Text
2089 PABD switching programming mode failed 10FLASH, DIAGNOSE_MODE (ECUPM): Ecu security

2089 PABD switching programming mode failed 10FLASH, DIAGNOSE_MODE (ECUPM): edu conditions

2089 error switching programming mode failed SG_programmieren
2089 error switching programming mode failed

Help? Seems like I'm pretty close.

I have found some things that may point to some config settings in winpfk
some say I might have had to plug in a battery charger to get voltage higher (I don't think this is it)
and.. I've read I had to config winpfk.. which I did not do anything (Wedge had a whole package to download).

Do you have all the assembly line data for the E60 chassis? If the answer is no or you do not know I would just search google for V54 Daten files and download from Mega. There will be about 22 files IIRC. You don't need all of them, just the ones pertaining to your chassis (E60). Keep downloading them and unzipping them until you see the files for other chassis. Don't download any further as these files are huge. Just the E60 files will be over 7GB once unzipped.

I would also download BMW Coding Tool V2.50 if you don't already have it. You can use this to easily update Ediabas, NCS Expert etc. It is also a nice tool to use in conjunction with NCS Expert for coding.

Yes so I shared all my files with Rackhacker.

I got a bunch of packaged stuff that includes all the tools. Yes I checked and I have 7gb of E60 stuff.

(Configure cable to com1 latency 1)

What I've done first was:
Made the E60/daten files not read only.
Load BMW coding tools v2.50
Set the directory for daten files
updated sp daten
updated winfpk

Then.. loaded up winpfk

select the correct ZB number when flashing the TCU. You can see the old ZB by looking at the UIF history. F1, F3, GKE215, OK, F8, F4, F1.
So here I got a bit stuck trying to figure out which was my ZB number since.. it doesn't say ZB number. But.. since on step 2 only one number matched ... I used that one.

Then start over F1, F3, GKE215, OK, F2, GKE215, select ZB#, OK, F8, F3, VIN, OK

Which model car do you have?

This is my cheat sheet for flashing SAT 7601458 to EGS module. This worked perfectly the first time for me.

-Load Winkpf software

-Press (F1) comfort mode

-Press (F3) Update ZUSB

-Choose ECU: GKE215

-Press (F2) Choose ZUSB

-Choose ECU GKE215 and next to it there will be ZB-Numbers..Find 7601458

-Click ok

-If you have done it correctly so far you will see at the top Assembly Identification number 7601458

-Press (F4) Enter VIN (make sure you double check you have entered the correct VIN numbers):

-click ok

-Press DONE (F8)

-Press (F3) Program

-Pop up window will say you can code the ECU 63 more times, click ok

-Flashing begins and you will have to wait till it reaches 100% twice..The first bar will finish rather quickly and then another bar progress of 100% will take about 3-4 minutes
the most and it will be completed...

-If everything is done correctly, then you will get a pop up screen saying programming done, click ok

I have a 2008 535xi..

I'll try that method. .i believe that is the Alpina one I was reading.

Like I said I got to the write part then errors.

When I get home maybe I'll try that one see if I'm just doing it with the wrong number.

I also read a separate thing about setting up winpfk which I did not go through. Also some different configuration setting with the winkfp and connection. Is there a special setup? It seemed to read my ecu fine.

I did no setup other than updating all of the files, but then again I purchased a cable and software package that was touted as being one-click install and fully functional and it really was.

You can't flash the Alpina software to the E60. 7601458 is the ZB number you want to use for SAT software.

Uggh still same error 211..some type of security. .similar error though.

I'm not sure what's wrong .. the cable obviously reads my ecu. .writing differently? It can't start writing since it still says the number of writes is 62. I wonder if mine was written once since everyone says 63 at start.
