My Ride: A Car faster than yours.....
Got a chance to dyno the new Injen intake for the 535 today. The results were not surprising. After the car sat for about 15-20 minutes, I measured the temp at the intake tubing IAT. It was at 184F. I was originally going to take the scoop off for the dyno test but I said what the heck, lets leave it on.
Here is a summary of the runs. Most of you may be familiar with the way we dyno test so you know how we run the cars over and over again. Some of you also know that we are making a 535 GtRace exhaust system so we did baseline runs on Dbae's car yesterday. I ran the car 15 times with about 20 seconds in between and the car made 245-246whp CONSISTANTLY.
Macfly's car did 273whp with the stock intake box. With the Injen intake, it was in the 250s, then the 40s, then by the 3rd run, it went limpy (guess Joe wasnt sexy enough to keep your hp up) and made 173whp. For the hell of it, we let the car cool down with the hood open and decided to run again with the fan blowing at the open hood. The bottom end still didnt come up but the peak power was 174whp.
Hey MC, a little help please?
