its ok buddy. just never underestimate ANY car, at least you guys got nice long stretches to go blasting off everywhere. here there arent many places to go flying around only the H3 which is monitered by cops ALOT so its mostly traffic light to traffic light for me. that only makes sense.

Yeah, the 550i wasn't able to keep up with an M5. I don't want to spoil the story now on why this all happened, but the fact is, the M5 pulled on us more often than we were able to gain on the M5. Will fill you guys in on the rest later.

Yeah agreed with what others have already said, the E55 is the mid size super car of mercedes and should be compared to bmw's supercar in midsize which is the m5. Its like comparing a steak to a big mac, yeah the big mac (550i) is good but you'd pick the steak every time.

The supercharged E55 was a brutally fast accelerating car. There is virtually nothing you could do to mod your car to beat one in a stoplight war (short of super expensive mods and NOX). Of course, the suspension, brakes and steering on the old E55s are all crap. But from a stoplight that car is an absolute monster with a bottomless pit of low end torque.
