Do you have an LCI model? Does it fade in and out? Or just switch right on?

EDIT: Just checked your profile. Yea the LCI's AE's switch on when you unlock. I am not sure if they fade in and out though.

I think my lights come on in a sequence and it does fade in when I unlock the car. I did have to turn on the Welcome Lights feature using I-drive first. Hardly pay attention to it these days but if memory serves me right, the LEDs come on first and the brow lights. Then the rings (AEs).

The rears also start with the LED and then the red lines.

Personally the visual impact is great and more than adequate. Don't see the need for it to be like in the youtube clip.

If anything, I feel BMW were WRONG not to have the welcome light feature work when the light switch is at position 0. It works when the light switch is placed at auto. I park my car in a garage so everytime I get into the car, before i start the engine I have to put the light swtich at OFF. Otherwise when I start the xenons will come on and as soon as I get the car out of the garage, the xenons go off. I hate that. Figure I am shortening the lifespan of the xenons.

cheers

There is another post where everyone is trying to figure it out too. Only problem is, the original person that did this just wrote some instructions and no pictures or anything. After that, we haven't gotten any real updates. This mod is hot!
