Hi Everyone,

I finally figured out how to do the darn Angel Eye Fade on and Fade Off Mode for the E60. It was really simple actually. I just tapped the Footwell light through the fire wire and then tapped the angel eye power and put a diode in between and viola! On and Off Magic! Its awesome!!

I was initially trying to use the Umnitza harness, but that turned out useless as Umnitza really doesn't know what they are talking about. After numerous emails back and forth, they still dont know.

Oh yea, I also Re-did the Orion V2's. Redid as in remounting them with Epoxy. The Hotglue sucks, as some of you have warned. It started to come off/melt and I wasn't having any of that. It also gave me a chance to clean up the inside of the headlight.

And Not sure if ya'll noticed, I used the SMD method I do for the LCI eyebrow and did it on my Eyebrow's.

BTW, do you guys think it would look stupid if I have the Eyebrow turn on also with the angel eyes when I unlock and lock the car? Give me some opinions. I can easily tap that wire since I figured out the wiring scheme / plugs for the headlight and know which one powers the eyebrow.

Anyway, So here are the pics and some video. Enjoy!

Oh Also, This theoretically can be used with any Angel eye bulb you have. Not just Orion V2's.

Of course if you are in the NYC, I can test if for you and help you install it.

nice, what I want to know is how you got your Pre-LCI 2004 E60 to turn on the AE's when the alarm was being armed on/off?

You have to tap into the power of the Angel eyes. You can get that from where the harness is plugged from the headlight, so you dont have to drill the headlight or anything.

Then run a wire from inside your car, from the footwell light and run it through the firewall. Slap a diode in between the wire and then wire it up the the positive port of the angel eye and you are set. Only downside I found was if you are in the car without the lights on (daytime) and if you turn on the light or open the door, the light will come on. But will go off once the light inside goes off. I'm going to find the wire that powers the puddle light to the mirrors and that'll ensure nothing turn on during the day or while the car is on. Also you can get DRL for angel eyes too. I'm just trying to figure out a switch method to use it on and off on the fly.
