Default Experience with painting/powder coating calipers

Reaching out to see who has had experience with this process.

Interested in what kind of shop they went to, cost, if they've had any issues, etc.

Please let me know, thanks.

I did mine black with an epoxy caliper paint and a few coats of clear. Worked out great...no issues in the couple of months since painting them.

was it a heat resistant type of clearcoat, or did you just end up using a regular clearcoat?

I see... The one place I called into quoted me over 1k for all 4 saying that it would also take up to 2 weeks, PLUS I wouldn't be able to keep my car there so it would have to be on blocks somewhere else.

I was shocked so wanted to see if there were other options...

haha thats insane. if you go through taking them off and doing it right, getting them painting shouldnt be to expensive.
Luckily i have access to a spray gun and compressor to paint everything i would need for my car. but 1k is ridiculous. let us know how everything plays out as this is my next step as well!

But would those fit on an LCI vehicle? It says 2006-2007 which I assume covers most pre-LCI but I have a 2009 E60 for instance.

Eh... i've also heard bad things about caliper covers.

People have told me they look cheap, don't cover the caliper that well, bulky....

Not sold on the idea especially since I haven't even seen anyone with them on..
