Hi, before I thought so. I think F10's auto trunk is better. But as I know someone did success in doing this on E60 by E65 parts. So I decided to try this from E65 parts.

I got all the necessary parts now. Plugged all the wiring and the electric parts work. However, all the fitting area on E60 is omitted because all the parts are for E65 only. The most difficult thing is how to put the parts in the car correctly. I have to try and test whether it is works or not. I think it's very difficult to share experience although I successed later.

Anyone wants to know the parts need can pm me (give me whatsapp number) and we can try to modify together.

For this mod, I don't think it's extremely difficult. But it need times to test. I think I can finished this mod within 2 weeks.

Just finished the close button and lighting few days ago:

Hi,

The hydraulic system exists for the E61 . This is the HKL module ( option SA316 ) , it might be easier incorporated . The E65 system must also adapt.
It takes the module wiring and connected properly for this to work .

Finally did it!

I bought the E65 parts but failed to do the modification. The coding part isn't that easy. I connected all the necessary pins but the soft close did nothing. Also the soft close part need huge modification of cutting some parts in the car.

I bought aftermarket parts of F10 and modified. Need many times of testing. Finally got it!!! There isn't any PnP product in the market. If you want this function, you must buy parts and DIY. Need much time and effort.

Not the OEM one, after market's one.

But it is for F10 originally.

The parts are not from BMW so I can't make a list here. Sorry.

Even the auto trunk itself also fit for F10 originally. Need to modify by yourself. Huge workload to do!

Can you post a link to the kit for the F10 you used? This would be a good starting point for those that are willing to tackle the job and write a DIY guide

There is no link to buy. I found them in Wechat and speak with them by Mandarin. For deposit, need to deposit to their bank account in China.

However, when the kit come. No manual provided. Just lots of separate parts. Seems that the seller is not willing to sell. Once again, the parts are for F10 originally. If you ask the seller in depth about modification. They know very little about this.
