Hey guys, just wanted to share that i just finished a succesful CIC retrofit to my 2003 BMW E60

I have been studying this project for some while now, a few months back i discovered a topic about this over at e90post.com when some memebers over there where trying to get everything done to theyr car. Everything seemed plug and play, except the biggest problem for them was activating the navigation and voice control because that requered them to gather the necessay FSC codes.
All problems were solved for some time now, and i contacted Patryk located in Poland for this retrofit.

I asked dozens of questions to him, and he never was to lazy or anything to answer them.
He had so manny information for me, and was very clear in communicating.
After some time i finally decided to cut the rope and place an order with Patryk,

I ordered the CIC package wich included the new screen and the new CIC computer, usb cable and other bits and pieces.
I also ordered the LCI climate control unit, i was not necessary, i could re-use my excisting one, but then i would end up with alittle gaps around the control buttons. Im extremely caring for my car and did not want any gaps and i want the dash to look OEM.

When the package came in i was amazed about the condition of the used screen and the used CIC, they are in NEW condition.
I also ordered the new style controller.
and i also buyed the FSC codes for the navigation and the voice control.

Before i decided to fit the parts i went to Kessels here in Maastricht to update my car to the latest software, even in theyr busy schedule they were able to update my car in between other jobs.

A week ago i fitted my CIC and the installation was really plus and play. The hardes part was getting the LCI climate control to work, well it wasnt hard at all, but it requered cutting a wire of the original wiring harness and i did not really want that. But i knew that before i started the project, and its my choice to keep the dashboard as cleanlooking and original as possible.
After the installation i contacted Patryk again on a sunday morning on skype. He wanted to code the final stage coding session right away, really helpfull.

The final stage coding did not take up much time, not even half an hour, he did change the langauge of my CIC to Dutch, remove a problem wich kept my voice control from working, works perfect now, and he did code the DVD in motion and some other little bits.

I added some pictures taken from my mobile phone.
If you guys want to fit the CIC and are in doubt, just contact him and he will be happy to answer all the question on your mind.
im very happy with the system, its much faster and more responsive then the CCC, its worth evey dime!
I gonna contact him again over some weeks for the combox retrofit!

Greetings, Ben from Holland

Thank you Nelson, i have to say this is definatly my most simple mod to perform, but certainly the most rewarding in therms of gimmick factor and enjoyment

Hi racerboss,
Well for me it was about nearly 3000 euro in total.
It was a bit more then the normal selling price because i had to order an expansive FSC code for activating my voice control.
And i have a new style controller and several bits and pieces, and also an lci climate control panel.
The kit sells for just over 2000 euro normally

I'm loving the CIC, but it costs so much $$$$$$$$ to do. I'm sure it's a worthwhile upgrade tho. I played with a CIC in a F10 and it is a huge jump from my M-ASK
