I am newly registered here, though i have been surfing the forums for the past couple of months. Recently, I have been looking hard at two E60 cars, an 08 6mt 535 and an 08 6mt 550i. The prices are similar, so my criteria between choosing between the two is straight line performance only.

I am very reluctant to get involved with the 535i as the HPFP problems are well documented, and I do not believe that BMW has a solution. I do a decent amount of traveling, so I do not want a car that has the potential to strand me randomly.

With that in mind, I have seen some mods for the 550i from RPI including an axle back exhaust, air scoops/intake and a tune. I have seen a dyno from RPI on the axle back and the scoops, but have seen no dyno from the tune. I am really looking for an independent user who has done their own dyno with these mods to see what it really puts down. Preferably on a 6mt, though I realized that the vast majority of users have the auto.
