I found a guy in eBay from Poland selling Navi Module from BMW for E60. Does anybody knows:
1. If I can installed this module into a non Nav car and get it working? Or do I need anything else?
2. Do I need an extra antenna for GPS positioning?
3. Will the existing software on the car (a non Nav car) accept a new Nav module like a Plug and Play device?
4. If somebody has really did that, is it easy? From a scale 1-10.
Here are some pictures of a Business and a Pro Module:
And also, anyone has seen this TV tuner or has it installed? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5812578799&sspagename=ADME:B:AAQ:UK:1

No way you're going to do it by yourself because coding is needed. The risk is when you bring it to dealer, they said it's not working and wants you to buy stuffs from them to make them more profitable.
If I were you, I wouldn't buy it. Not worth the hassle.

You need a LOT more than just that part for a nav retrofit. BMWNA does make a nav retrofit kit available under a unified part number:
65 90 0 390 844
Your dealer should be able to tell you if your car supports this kit.

Unless things have changed over the last couple of months, you will not be able to add NAV to your car if you are in the US. The first thing is that dealers are unable to get the CCC upgrade kit. If they are able to obtain it, it will come down to a missing wire that goes from the shark fin to the CCC unit.
There are plenty of threads that have talked about it. It sucks. BMW should of really thought about this before hand.

I've always want Navi in my car. But I need the car urgently when I was looking for a car and the dealer cannot locate one with Navi for me at that time. That's why I have been trying so hard to find an aftermarket module or parts for my car.

I've asked the seller if the module is the only thing I need. And he reply:
"NAVI BUSSINES INSTALED YOU ANY PROBLEM,ALL CABLE HAVE YOU I CAR,YOU NEED ONLY GPS ANTENNE.
FOR NAVI PROFESSIONAL NEED YOU LARG BORDMONITOR,(NOT 6,5 ONLY 8,8 INCH)"
He's from Poland so maybe his English is not that well. Can anybody understand what he means? I couldn't really figure out. All I can tell is I need a GPS antenna and nothing else.

Then he is saying if you want it to be Navigation Professional, you also need to upgrade to the 8.8" screen (from your current 6.5" screen).
However, I don't know if I believe that, because my understanding is that you may need a lot more parts to make this work. Further, you may need a specific version of that module depending on the build of your car. Unless you're really daring, I wouldn't do it...or I would at a very minimum verify with the dealer all the parts needed to retrofit navigation in your vehicle from the umbrella part number I gave you above.

While I am sure you will save some money on the front end, having this retrofit by the dealer is probably a better idea.
