Looks like I'm about to burn more money on this car since the M5 negotiation with the wife has gone severely south.... :'(

Certainly not the 20+ hp gain that some other software tuners boast but oh well...I'm a Dinan whore...

Make that TWO Dinan whores now! And thanks for the heads-up here. Looks like XMAS has arrived early for us.

Now if we could only get a hold of that new Dinan 5 badge, supposedly to be released any day now?? Or is it a few more months still in their wind tunnel for further aerodynamic tweaks??? Ha ha.

Thanks again and Best Regards ALL!

Not 20, but , with a good map, it's possibile to gain 10-15 ...

Gaining 15-20hp is not worth it and unnoticable. I did it on my previous 530i for gaining 13hp or so, but there is absolutely no difference. Throttle still lags big time.

Fred, on a petrol V8 you don't remap to gain HP, but to optimize performance, torque, rev limiter, etc .. And at the end you gain 10 HP .

Agreed, I was definitely not looking to the software to give me that much boost in horsepower. Just improved driveability with better throttle response, raising the shift points of the Step and so forth.....

It's probably made of carbon fiber or platinum. I submitted my badge request from probably 2 months ago. How much engineering goes into a badge???

It's actually inline with prices from other companies. I think Powerchips or Superchips is about $800 and they claim 18-20hp. The cheapest would be Upsolute at $399.
