My Ride: Modded 2010 Carbon Black M5 SMG and Modded 2008 Dinan 550i Sport
Here are some sh***y cell phone pics of these bad boys mounted. When I get a chance to put the show car shine on the car I'll get some good shots.
Slight (well not so slight) issue with HRE build on these. I am getting rubbing on the plastic only in the front. I looked at the build sheet and it appears HRE used M5 specs. When I originally saw the e9 offset on it I knew we were gonna have issues. Frankly, I was waiting on a few of you guys to blast me when I posted it before mounting (c'mon guys....sleeping on your feet today. You guys are usually ALL OVER that kind of screw-up-lol! That's why I LOVE this forum!)
All in all they came out looking great (in my opinion of course). I am quite the perfectionist so I will have the rubbing sorted out shortly with HRE. Likely they will be sending me new fronts since they screwed up the specs. We shall see.
On a side note for those of you considering 20's and worrying about performance and ride degradation, these suckers are sooooo light. In fact, they are 5+ lbs lighter at the corners than my prev. wheels and even after increased tire size they are still 3+ lbs lighter. Everyone in the showroom and all of the front end employees of the performance wheel shop had to stop and pick them up. I have ZERO performance issues. As far as ride quality degradation, if there is any at all, it is negligible and most certainly worth having the appealing look of the 20's. This was a VERY hard decision for me prior to ordering as you can see in some of my previous threads. I really flip-flopped a lot. In the end I could not be happier.
The finish is amazing-hand brushed the entire depth of the wheel, both inside and out. Literally every inch, even the surfaces you cannot see when mounted. Pictures do not begin to do these wheels justice. Props to HRE on quality and finish. Now if they could get these damn offsets right for me they would be PERFECT!
Hope you like!
