My Dension 500 is to be installed to my 2007 Model Year 530d tomorrow.

They are supplied to Australia from a New Zealand Distributor.

Very impressive package of goodies arrived via post after only a few days with the BMW Dealer to fit the unit tomorrow.

I shall report as to the install as soon as I have the car back (replacement sunroof cassette being fitted under warranty as well, due to problems with the sunroof closing).

Dension Gateway installed. No problems whatsoever, the first unit my local dealer had installed.

They have said they believe its a more flexible unit than the OEM unit.

They would like to see longer cables supplied to install to the centre console.

It operates exactly as described.

$'s well spent!

It is not clear. According to a user GW500, who has connections with Desnsion, M-ASK unit is not capable of displaying text information. On the other hand bmw's ipod interface can display text information on a M-ASK unit (business). Hopefully, I will be able to answer this question next week since I going to upgrade my Business unit to Business Nav. which provides Professional radio, therefore, mp3 capability.
Correction, my car was M-ASK, read MP3 and displayed text just fine. Most cars in THailand, have text on M-ASK, plays MP3, runs Dension perfectly. Good luck.

Too bad none of these ipod interfaces (Dension nor BMW) will display double-byte characters (Chinese/Japanese/etc...).

I wanted the Denison but none of the dealers in my area would install it because it was not OEM. Currently, the BMW ipod interface is on back order throughout the US. No one seems to know when they will be in.

That being said, I've heard nothing but good things about the denison. If search the forum, I'm sure you can find numerous threads about it.
