Last week i had my dealer fit 166M wheels to my 535d M Sport, replacing the standard 18" 135 rims.
Today, I was looking to see what tyre pressures I should be maintaining, and found that most people seem to recommend different tyre sizes from what the dealer actually fitted. The only thing I asked for was 166M wheels with the appropriate tyres to fit them and the car, and they have fitted Continental Contact Sport 3's using 255/35 on the front and 285/35 on the rear.
They certainly look awesome, but should I question the dealer over the tyre sizes they've fitted?

Spoke to the dealer and to BMW UK today.
First, the dealer said there was no problem because the 285/35/19 tyres had the same circumference as the 245/40/18 tyres that were there before... I told them that was ****** and asked them to get back to me when they had a sensible answer for me, given that 285/35/19 is over an inch taller than 245/40/18...
Got a response from BMW UK saying that they do not approve 166M wheels on a 535d M Sport, so go away pesky customer.
Then heard back from the dealer, who said 'oops, yes we appear to have put M5 tyres on by mistake, could you bring the car back so we can fit 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 tyres instead.
So it's going back in tomorrow morning.

Glad to hear you got things sorted...amazing how many times we as BMW owners and e60.net members are more informed than some tech's and SA's....
