connecting iphone cradle to Dension?

connecting iphone cradle to Dension?
Hi folks,
I have a 2005 530i Sport, which I have purchased the BMW iPhone cradle for (the one that sits in the arm rest).
I've now just bought a Dension 500 to enable me to listen to music in the car. Rather than having to put my iPhone in the glovebox and connect it each time, is there a way to connect the Dension unit to the phone cradle?
The phone connects to my car via bluetooth anyhow, so I assume the only thing the cradle is doing is charging my phone, which the Dension unit will do anyhow?
