The ST, KW V1&2 run a linear front spring, 400 lbs, and a progressive rear.

A 400lb spring is about 7200k so bc coils standard 8k front and 6k rear should be a decent and comparable ride depending on dampening.

A little bit firmer ride most likely. The valving in the dampener though is a important consideration to look at.

I'm looking to put on some ST x Coilovers to my 530d, but finding it quite hard to confirm the correct part # to fit a 2004 530D (M57n Engine, non self leveling susp)

I'm in the UK so might explain why not all the same models populate...but was looking at the following:

ST Suspensions

And...

ST Online Shop - Gewindefahrwerke, ST Coilovers ST X galvanized steel (with fixed damping) Sportfahrwerke, Stossdämpfer, Tieferlegungsfedern

I dont know if there is a diff between the petty and diesel in terms of fitments, but the pics (might just be generic) certainly differ - Any one confirm for sure as it'll be a special order thingy so wont be able to see it in advance

Ta in advance peeps
