Whats the difference? Anyone bought chrome grilles from Ebay and/or from BMW? Is there a difference in quality?

Is installation easy?

There's been few threads regarding this recently. IIRC the only difference is the inner thickness of the moldings.

I bought mine from ebay, but they were original BMW chrome grills. I got a great deal on them and I got to pick them up in person. The guy selling them happen to work at the same building as I was. Talk about lucky, and I only paid $50 for the pair, brand new in the factory box.

They were pretty easy to install. The only challenge is getting around those clips.

Sorry, but the guy I bought them from only had one set. He put them on ebay and I was lucky enough that I only competed against one guy.

If I find a great deal I'll let you know for sure.

So thicker probably means ghetto then...

How much is OEM grille anyways? I think it makes the world of a difference

Here's a picture of my ebay grill

OEM one that I found in the gallery section:

As far as installation, I got my bodyshop to install it for me since I got my front bumper repainted. Quality is pretty good.
