Sell the car and spend an extra 5-6k and get an M5, will be faster than any mods you will ever do to your 550i, lol.

Haha I know I know. Thought long and hard about just buying an M5 in the past but gave it up. Thing is I love to Mod . So I decided to buy the 550i and spend all the money I save on modding it. May not be faster now. But prob won't sell this car and eventually once I get everything else where I want it. ESS super charger. That should give the M5 a run for its money. If I would have got the M5 I'd just be eventually Modding it too but take a lot longer and cost a lot more. Oh and I didn't want to get a M3. 5 series is my favorite.

I am an authorized seller for VIS and Seibon. But the trunk we installed is NRG (only 10 or so of them were ever made). check out my Scarlet Letter ///M build thread in my signature, i have some progress pics in there i think...we will be doing a full shoot during this upcoming Targa Trophy Event for the M5

I have both a Seibon Carbon hood and a Seibon CSL trunk on my 08 550i. The trunk is a good amount of weight reduction but the hood isn't much. If you do decide to get carbon fiber I have a lot of advice for you lol. As for performance upgrades I have an exhaust, intake and rpi scoop and it feels significantly different. There isn't much to do performance wise for the 550 though.

We put a CF trunklid on the 550i and it's much lighter. Even bought a CF hood to go along with it, but ended up giving it away because the slight weight difference between the OEM hood and the CF hood didn't outweigh the fragility of the CF hood.

Hey, what exhaust and intake are you running? I'm planning on some performance mods and hear a lot of opinions but you mentioned a significant difference so I'm curious. Thanks

I got an rpi scoop, full custom exhaust, k&n drop in filter and that's pretty much it but I definitely feel a difference from stock
