To be fair, you just referred to advantages - not specifically to performance advantages.

That's true.
I guess, then, we should put "price" in either advantage or disadvantage accordingly, since that is also a non-performance issue.

All of the pad sets have a 2 year warranty. The composition of the ceramic pads should be very similar, but the Akebono brand has been around the longest and most proven to generate the least amount of brake dust. Ate has always made good products, but the ceramic pads are a relatively new item added and I do not have any feedback on those. Meyle, I do not have a whole lot of confidence in since I know they do not manufacture them so who knows who they are actually made by. I would rank the ceramic pads offered in that order: Akebono, Ate, Meyle. Hope that gives a little bit more insight for you.
