Can I ship tires via Fedex Ground?

Just a question for tires(without wheels) shipping? can I ship tires via Fedex ground? do I need to put tire to a box for shipping? how is the Fedex ground rate vs. UPS or DHL? thanks!

I frequently hang out at the tuning shop where I get all my mods done. I've noticed some tires have shipping labels on them. It would appear to me that the tires are shipped without any boxes and just labels.

The Tire Rack ships tires all the time via UPS, etc. Usually, if it's just 4 tires, they'll strap a couple together to make two "packages" instead of four. (If they're shipping tires mounted on wheels, they usually keep it as four packages.)

Yep, I have ordered many sets of tires from tirerack and they just strap them together no boxes. They are always shipped ground, either UPS or FedEx.

Thanks, I bought a set of 4 tires from a member( ZIP 84112), ship to 94538, what's the cheapest way to ship? Fedex Ground, UPS ground, or DHL ground? it will be over $100 for shipping? tires are 26 lbs and 30 lbs each.

Most likely FedEx ground would be your best bet. You can go on FedEx, UPS, DHL, websites and do a detailed quote. You are most likely looking at two packages no more than $50/each shipped.

Did a rate quote on DHL.com for ya, looks like they might be your best bet. Looks like they might be half the cost of the other two.
