Default Can I replace door bulb from 5W by 10W

Hi all,

As far as I know the bulbs in the doors (under) are 5W type. I would like to have a more intens light when opening the door. Can I replace the stock 5W by 10W of does this trigger an error?

I like the yellowish color, that's why I do not want to switch over to LED.

I think that those are T10 bulbs. Try the 10w and see. You will pull more amps, but shouldn't blow a fuse.

Thnx for your reply. I will try a 10W bulb first, but I wonder whether this will not introduce too much termal issues (overheating, melting of plastic).

I have also seen there are LEDs available which gives "warm white" color (T10 LED). Maybe I will try this also. There are a lot of different SMD-LED with various output brightness.

I will update this post as soon I've tried some alternatives.

.
[COLOR="Blue"]Aren't those door lights on only when the door is open? In that case, those door lights (under) aren't on long enough to cause overheating.
The LEDs will not cause heating problems, but might trigger warning indicators.COLOR]

I will try today removing one bulb to see if it throws an error. Maybe there is no CAN-bus check on these lights...
