awwww cr*p.... one of those moments when you want something so bad that doesn't exist... then when it exists you have to reconsider if it was love or lust.

A few questions:

- need the actual price now and when in normal production (I appreciate you not got it yet)
- I am in the UK so what is possible (shipping/DIY install? etc)
- I have steptronic so what can this put up with BHP wise
- I would have been happier (forgive me) with lower BHP - 500 at the crank - was the 4.4V8 built for that?

Honestly I would be happy also with 450 HP: I don't need to smoke the M5 everyday to feel the car fast - plus the M5 has torque at 6000 rpm instead of 3000.

Is VFE really finally coming out with the supercharger for th E60??? Last I heard, they put the project on the shelf. That's awesome that they will carry through with this and if I still had my 545, I'd get it in a heart beat.

As for the numbers, I remembered reading through various threads in the past that it would be in the neighborhood of 450-470hp for the 545. Can you confirm Joe?

Hi Guys,

I just got a call from and they are looking to get pre-orders for the superchargers for the following cars:

545i/645i/745i/550i/650i/750i

2004-2008 525i/528i/530i

I will be meeting with them tomorrow and will let you guys know the full details. I just want to get a head count on who may want in on this. I can tell you that it will be WELL BELOW 10k INSTALLED!

I will announce the price after the meeting tomorrow with VF Engineering. It will be less than what the dealers get it for. The pricing is for PRE-ORDER CUSTOMERS ONLY, once the product has been released the prices will increase.

Some spec:

500 HP (to the crank) V8's
400+ lbs torque (to the crank) V8's

VF wanted to produce more power, but our transmission cannot handle over 550hp so they are keeping it on the safer side.

Main question, What is included?

Looking at Alpinas H1 (N62b44) engine, the standard for reaching 500 reliable hp is quite known.

If the content is the same, I will definitely consider get one.
