Are brake rotors different for American and European made BMW's?

Are brake rotors different for American and European made BMW's?
Hello
I have a question that I hope others may know the answer too?
I have two E60's
a 2004 and 2007
I would like to fit drilled and slotted rotors to both cars
I found some on Ebay but the sellers are not sure if American Rotors made for the American market are the same as the ones made for the European market or Japanese market
So i need to do some more research to find the correct rotors
Does anyone know if simply measuring the rotor size will be enough or is there something about the rotors that make them unable to be used between countries like America and Japan
?
