Default Battery charger options ?

In the market looking for a battery charger, actually like a battery tender but wanted some options.

I know of the Battery Tender® Plus High Efficiency, this is a California specific edition I guess due to regulations. It has its ups and downs.

There is also the BMW Battery Charger (Part # 61432358315) which also charges the battery and maintains it.

Then there is the NOCO Genius line (3500, 7200, 2600 etc) which offer more options.

Any one have any experience with these or with other chargers that work great?!

I was reading online about the optima 1200 charger but apparently there is a lot of issues regarding the digital display that is on there.

Thanks in advance!

The ctek ones look very similar to the BMW ones. Maybe they jumped ship with battery tender and went with another mfg.

Anyone have the cteks? Any feedback from any of their products?

Wink

I had a Ctek charger which worked great for a few years, keeping my battery alive through several winters. Don't know how long they should last, but the ctek recently died, and was replaced with a NOCO G3500 Genius. Comparing the two chargers, I like the displays on the NOC much better, as it shows percentage progress on a recharge, so you know when the battery charge is topped up. Both have the smarts to remain connected for continuous trickle charging.

Thanks timmer!
So based on your experience with both of them , the NOCO has a better readout? Performance wise?

the NOCO has a much better display that shows the progress on charging---- separate lights for 25% 50% 75% and 100% ---- so you know what's going on.

It also allows you to set for multiple battery types---- and the 12V auto choices include "normal" or AGM (glass matt battery types). Could also charge marine or smaller batteries if needed.

The connectors are all high quality, and has all the features I was looking for.

In comparison, the Ctek was more "old school".

I have the CTEK Multi US 4.3 and have no complaints whatsoever. I like it for being water resistant so no worries leaving it in wet conditions.
