Adaptive Headlight issue
 

Hi, my 2008 535i adaptive headlamps are broke.
I’m looking to get new headlamps but have a question about the dash light going off. If I get aftermarket headlamps that do not have the adaptive feature will the alert dash light go off still or do I just need to go the route of a good used genuine pair of headlamps?
Thanks for any input... I hate the dash light being on all the time.

Hopefully by now you have figured out BimmerGeeks ProTool would be a good investment.
You can easily get rid of the error light and even code out the culprit.
It all depends on what the actual problem is. A fix might be the route compared to new headlights.

Even a used pair of BMW 08 535 headlights border around the holy crap dollar amount.
Anything else but OE is a waste of money since a flashlight would give you more lumens than after market headlamps.
In other words those spyder type projectors suck, big time.

So no to the aftermarket ones... eeh? Searching Ebay now.
