About to order an M-Tech front bumper
Title^
About to order the bumper, any precautionary things I should know before ordering like unplugging battery during installation and all else?
Estimated 250 to paint + 400 for the actual bumper, any other costs I'm forgetting and are FOGs from old bumper able to fit or does trinityAS supply them.
New to this modding thing, any past experiences/advice would be greatly appreciated!

i however did buy new fogs with mine. they came with these projetors in the new fogs, i couldnt say no
ask somone from trinity on the board here, im sure they can tell you about fog fitment.
make sure you buy a bumper specifically with or without pdc, and depending on your car lci or pre lci. apparently the lci ones are different.
i cant believe they get 250 for paint work. luckily i have the privilege of doing my own.
However, even if you do order without the fogs, if the old ones dont fit or you upgrade to projector's its pretty simple to install them. more of a pita than anything but do-able without removing the bumper.
good luck.

the foglights should work if you have a pre-LCI. if you have an LCI, then you will have to buy new fogs. are you getting an mtech or m5tech bumper? cuz i wouldn't see the advantage of having trinity out here in california source an OEM mtech bumper for you when you're on the east coast. would probably be easier to go through morristown or another local dealership.

$250 to paint is a rip off

Actually, 250 is not that bad. I am sure you will find prices all over the place if you seek out various body shops. There could be some that are more hungry than others and this could reflect in their price. Bottom line, if it's a body shop that does business most likely the quality of work will be fine as long as they are using a descent quality of paint and that it is a base coat paint system. They will either mix on site or have it mixed at the store. If there are inperfections in the paint then they should be able to buff them out so it blends better with your car. My biggest fear would be more with customer service. It's not hard to paint these parts and if there is a problem will they take care of it?
