I was going to go with KW V2s but I think that the ST coilovers will do me just fine. Thanks for the info.

Your post is in the wrong section... You have it in Parts, accessories, you should have it in private member classifieds. Just a heads up.

Hey wtlb I would actually go with the V2's over the ST's. You only can adjust ride height with the ST's which you are stuck with the ride quality. At least with the V2's you can adjust rebound which definitely can make a difference in ride quality. All the guys I had go with V2's said it was a night and day difference in handling without going to a very firm CO system. Just my 2 cents.

I ran into a guy with an M5 lowered on Eibach springs and OEM shocks. He said he's had the springs for 4 years and no issues. The drop with the Eibach springs looked perfect. The car was also on 20's. I happened to be driving behind him for a few really bumpy blocks and there was no bounce in the ride that I could see. He said a friend of his as a 545 with the Bilsten pro kit and it was great as well. Once he took off he run flats the ride was perfect. Still firm, dropped and no bounce. Think I'm going with the Bilstein prokit based on this.

Sorry, got no current pic of the car and too lazy to post one now lol. Sounds like you want just a modest drop so you won't be disappointed with the Bilstein and Eibach. I'm on OEM M5 166 (not as an aggressive of a stance as the M6 166 which I should have done) with 12mm spacers on the rears. The fronts will settle a bit because of the heavy V8 and some rubbing will occur but, just go easy over the bumps and you'll be fine. I'm very pleased with the ride and I think you will be too. Good luck
