I just wanted to know what you guys think about this. I just noticed that the software is already available and I am really tempted to do it ASAP! What do you guys think? Here is the datasheet:

Just an additional note, the available stock HP is limited here in Belgium to 163hp due to tax reasons, so this would mean an increase of 42hp!!!

Go for it. I think ACS has a chip out with a few more horses. Was there by chance an upgrade for 530i's? I am only 30 min form the Belgium border.
Please let me know!

there is a acompany in the Uk called DMS Automotive. They remap the ECU which gives 220bhp and 490nm and it is totally undectable by BMW diagnostic.

I just checked a couple of websites but couldn't find any info. I also chip tuned my previous car which was a 330Cic which basically has the same engine as yours . The power increase was something like 25hp and 30Nm of torque. To be honest I expected more from it but it was however well noticable. The price was only something like 500 EUR!!!

Wow! 220hp & 490Nm of torque is a big increase. Are you really sure that increasing it that much is still safe? I talked to some tuning people and they all said that increasing the power a little bit is fine, as long as you do not overdo it. They al recommended to increase it with max 20-25% because otherwise the increase would be too much for the various components to handle because they were specifically designed and tested for the stock HP.

JohanDC,
Are you talking with a company in Belgium or researching on the internet?

I found no belgian website having info in regards to the E60 - 530i, I did however used a belgian company to chip tune my 330Cic which basically has the same engine, the company is located really close to Antwerp.

Sorry Lomag, I forgot to reply on your message. I am really busy right now and I am waiting to take some pictures until I get my car washed and it is all clean (should be somewhere this weekend but haven't figured out when I'll have some spare time to do it). Anyway my apologies for not replying any sooner, I'll try to get them ASAP.
