2008-2010 e60 lighting 528&535
#1
So i recently bought 2010 528i, and i've been wanting to change some lights for the outside. 1) are the angel eyes using the same led marker bulb as the 2007 and before, so would i be able to buy a mtech2 and install it just fine? or do the newer models have a different headlight system.. 2) the foglights seem to be different also i think.. instead of being held in a round case theyre in a more triangular shape cover by glass , are the bulbs the same size? i was thinking of getting yellow fogs..3) also are the side signal light different?
all the info on e60 i find are usually related to 2007 and before models and not much on 2008 to 2010.

All your lightning mod PM Brabuswamg209(John) hes the go to guy for lights. You would need HID angel eyes which John has just pm and he will take care of you.

I don't think anyone really make a bulb for it yet, only person I know that would have it is John, and it seems to be the brightest out there so far for LCI.

My Ride: 2004 E60 530i, 2012 E70 X5 35i
Model Year: 2004
there are two variations of angel eyes for 2004-2007 E60.
The Halogen Angel eyes are two small bulbs that use old fiberoptic technology to light up the angel eyes.
The Xenon model has one bulb that lights up two rings and also uses old fiberoptic technology.
The 2008+ LCI E60's use an H8 bulb that is far brighter than the Non LCI. There are many alternatives for this. There have been LED solutions and you can even buy a H8 blue bulb but its not as bright or nothing compared to the HID Angel eyes. If you want brightness, go for the HID H8 Angel eye that Brabus has.
There is another alternative for 2004-Present E60 models. This requires to take apart the headlight and replace the Angel eye rings with the new rings that has SMD LEDS through out the ring. They are the Orion V2's. I went that route and I can tell you, I love it!
Since you have the LCI, you have many more options than 2004-2007 E60's. Good luck with your decision.
