Last week I took my 2007 550i to Center BMW to get the MOST iPod interface installed. After making the appointment and taking the car in, etc., I was informed that the interface will not work with the current version of my software. The SA claims that I have to wait until March for version 23.2.

Is this correct?

Thanks.

Dan

I'm not sure if you have CD changer and SW v23.x. If you have both, you can just replace CD changer with iPod adapter. Of course when you do it, you need to disconnect neg battery cable before swapping. Also, do not connect iPod while doing installation.
Good luck.

I have an 06 530I and had no problems with the install of the IPOD interface. Works perfectly.

I specifically did not order the changer because I suspected that it would not work in addition to the iPod interface.

No love until Q1 07.

What's your build date? My '07 with L7, Nav, Sat, HD but no CDChanger has the MOST iPod interface and it was a simple install but did need an update to the current CIP 23.x.

I had the SAME issue with my 2005 545i (build date around June/July 2005) - I do (did) have the CD changer option. Dealer recoded to the latest software (v23), but when trying to install the iPod interface the system just wouldn't "take" it - refused to see the interface. They spoke with BMWNA techs, and were told we had to wait for the next software release.

Strange, seems there are several cars that are having problems with this MOST interface
