Hey all,
I drive a 2004 530i and enjoy it a lot but my friend recently did a turbo swap on his sti and gave me his old turbo and I am wondering if I I do install it how much boost to run? Or should I engine swap to a N54 engine and tune that?

Just get an STI instead! You can't just slap on a turbo from an STI and expect that to work, never mind "how much boost to run". Get the N54 and be happy, if you can afford it!.
