[/quote]The iPod mount was all my own work, not theirs... for the moment I don't want to make it permanent as I want to freedom to play around with the wires and location.
I can't wait for my EQ to get installed. I ordered a flat-response microphone and pre-amp, and will hook them up to my laptop and run TrueRTA to check out and adjust the frequency response of my system. Tempted to try to compete with this sucker... just for fun of course - I'm not going to win against guys who've spend 20 grand and have remolded their dashboards for better speaker placement .
But every day I listen to this system I hear more and more how much better it was than my Lexus system, which was in turn light-years ahead of the Lexus Nakamichi. It is outrageous how good this sounds - and the sheer power in this setup means that it sounds good even way past the point where it can cause hearing damage. I'm going to have to be careful.
