Hey Guys,

Just checking to see if any of you guys are interested in having this retrofit. I know Nixdoof and other members provide the service of replacing the LEDs of your current cluster but Patryk who does CIC retrofit service can provide an actual M5 cluster coded to our cars spec, no errors whatsover.

Here's his thread on the one he did to his 335i with a M3 cluster http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=464364

He can do 5 at $400 shipped. How does that sound?

the redline ring would just go to the specified line.

I have the OEM M5 cluster also and when its warmed up, my redline is at 6500. Even though the cluster has up to 10k.

Thanks Nelson for posting this thread for me.

The plan is that if we can get 5 people intrested in this 100% OEM M5/6 cluster retrofit I would send all the clusters to Nelson who would then send them individually to each of you.

This is not the cheapest mod, but it's a complete swap.
Some people try to change leds, some take some components from the M5/6 clusters and put them in the standard clusters, etc.

What you will get is a 100% OEM M5/6 cluster coded for your car spec and ready for a PnP installation. Your VIN and mileage will be already written in the cluster.

Let me know if this is of interest to you.

Patryk

Like you said, its not the cheapest mod, but why would it be  if we change the LEDS and use M5/M6 clusters and put it into standard?

Its definitely cheaper than $400 for a complete cluster swap. And I definitely dont want to hinder your sales on this either, but some people like changing the parts since its cheaper and some people want to do the complete swap.

I am puzzled, aren't the differences very minor between cluster mod and an actual M5 cluster??
