Tapping into CAN wires using distribution block
Hi
I had to retrofit a lot of things into my 06 E60 such as auto dim mirrors, HUD, PDC, reverse camera interface etc which all involve tapping into the CAN H/L wires. To avoid stripping too much wires and do the soldering, I plan to connect them to CAN_H and CAN_L at KGM using either the dual-row distribution block or the wago wire connects below but am not sure if it affects the performance. Anyone has done it before? Or any advice on tapping into this problematic CANBUS would be highly appreciated.
Dual-row distribution block
Wago wire connector
Thanks
Richie
