Default '06 530i/6 drive shaft issues

Well my CV joint on the drive shaft decided to go. I am having no luck with finding a used shaft to get the car back on the road since the car has the N52 with a 6-speed.

My mechanic tried to replace the CV joint yesterday with a used one and no luck. He said it was too tight to get it on my drive shaft.

Anyone with a used shaft or how to properly put on a replacement CV joint? (ECS Tuning sells one)

The low power e60s has smaller brakes, and axles on these cars, so it’s gonna have to be out of a car from the same yr. If it’s to tight, or won’t go on, then it’s not compatible.

This is the CV joint on the end of the drive shaft to the differential. Not the half shafts (differential to wheel). Ignore the red arrow in this picture....it is the part on the right end of the shaft.
