04 545i exhaust confusion.. Cherry Bombs??
Like others on this forum, I watched DKNewYork's videos about his 545i with Cherry Bomb Glass Pack mufflers, and i cant help but want that sound on my own 545. So, I went through the threads and read about this exhaust setup, but still have questions..If I simply buy two of those Cherry Bomb Glass Pack Mufflers and put them in place of the two stock ones, will I get the same sound, more or less? I think what DK did was get the resonators removed, and just have two of those cherry bombs mufflers go to a quad outlet. However I want to keep my stock bumper, and just replace the current mufflers with the Cherry Bombs..

I assume his dual setup is just 2 of those, one per side so yes if you replaced yours it should sound similar. I'm not a fan of it. It sounds mean but it sounds too american muscle to me. Not at all refined, just loud and raw.

Yeah i'm hoping it will sound similar, that car he's got in the video sounds like an absolute monster..
Anyway i'm probably gonna get the 2 stock mufflers removed, and get the cherry bombs installed. If I do ill go ahead and post my results, not sure when that will be though..

Personally? It will sound like a car that wants to be a V8 but the pitch is to high and sounds like a straight 6 with a bad exhaust... Which is exactly what it is.

I'm going for the same sound in the video above, more or less.

All you will get is opinions and, as you have seen, some very uniformed opinions.
Ask DK what he/she did exactly. However, if you don't want the quad setup, then you will not get the same sound.

Unless you o exactly what DK did, you will not get the same sound! I am not sure that asking for advice on this forum for something as 'one-off' as this is of any use.

a muffler delete out to tips will get you almost the same result. if it's too loud or annoying, then you can weld on a resonator.

I'm going for that v8 rumble, something mean but not ridiculously loud.
