Anyone know how to deactivate this warning without going to the dealer or activate the window trap function?

You have probably gotten this warning because you have a faulty anti trap sensor or more possibly a malfunctioning window motor.

I?ve had it twice on my car, right rear and front left window. Had to replace the electric motors on both!

Probably the only notorious problem with ANY bmw. Had it on my E60..

Pretty common complaint. Mine was driver side motor. I could make it happen 95% of time by putting car in reverse with window open and then try to close. Almost guarenteed of getting the anti trap warning. I worked around it ok by raising prior to putting in reverse (could even have been some loose mechanical item). But did complain, they installed motor and worked perfectly since.

coincidence maybe but since the last sware upgrade,20. i seem to be having this problem constantly various windows at the moment its the drivers door but clears straight away on reactivation of swirch.interesting topic is it age wear,malfunction .maybe post replys if you are experiencing this

I had the same problem and the dealer could not fix it. They endend up giving me a new 06 530i.
