i ended up needing to replace the whole SMG unit and i replaced the clutch as well since it was already apart to save me some money in the long run.

Only thing is the 500 mile break in period for the new clutch...

But after it's broken in properly, joy riding here i come!

Stopped by motorcepts a week ago to pick up some mtec v3 angel eyes, John showed me a whole smg assembly that just came in for an M5 that was having issues since i was asking him what to look out for when buying one of these cars. Motorcepts is great, lucky to have a shop like that around the area. I still couldn't believe the stealership couldn't figure it out.

That whole smg assembly was probably mine... My car was probably on the lift... Black M5 with vellano 3-piece staggered wheels and rpi exhaust.
The dealership i think would be able to figure it out if they actually even attempted to do what Leo went through...
He had to look at every part piece by piece to figure out what was wrong with it...
Of course BMW wouldn't sell just the parts i needed, so an entire SMG unit replacement was inevitable, as used parts are just not an option for me.
300 more miles to go for the "clutch break in"
