Last sunday, i was coming to a stop at a light and the car decided to rumble and shake for a bit followed by a complete engine shutdown.
The red cog showed up saying "transmission malfunction"
I did a scan and it stated the problem was the smg pump electric motors set.
This was replaced, and the car was bled and coded.
The car still won't start!
It was sent to the dealer as i was stumped, and they had the car for 24 hrs and the SA called me to tell me they have their best mechanic working on it.
I get a call at the end of the day, and his exact words were, "we have no idea what's wrong with the car"
WORD?!?!? I understand a lot of times problems can't be found/fixed easily, but you would think they would sugar coat their words and try to make the customer feel as if they have at least the slightest idea of what they are doing...
Any ideas on what the problem may be?
Much appreciated.

Well i had made arrangements with John and Leo before sending the car off to the dealer.
Figured it was a simple coding issue, but turns out it wasn't.
The dealership wanted some ridiculous amount of money to no suprise.
It's being towed to Motorcepts tomorrow hopefully.

Well the dealer stated they code it and the car wouldn't start.
So they decided to try reassembling the smg pump and everyhting connected to it and no success.
They concluded that i needed to have the entire smg unit replaced.

Picked up the car from Motorcepts yesterday!
Car felt better than when i bought it!!
I must say... they do a great job!
there were many problems which Leo at Motorcepts would better explain.
i ended up needing to replace the whole SMG unit and i replaced the clutch as well since it was already apart to save me some money in the long run.
i fell in love with my car all over again...
Only thing is the 500 mile break in period for the new clutch...
But after it's broken in properly, joy riding here i come!
