verizon storm blue tooth pairing?
#1
I can seem to pair my new verizon storm 9530 to my 2006 M5. The dealer said it is not compatible but suggested that I try the pin number 0000. This did not work. Does any one have instructions?

Are there any phones stored, have you checked the iDrive? If so clear those. Also, did you activate your bluetooth via iDrive?

I've got a vzw storm aswell and it paired perfectly with my 645. BUT, it was a different procedure than my Audi.. First, when prompted, I entered the code 0000 in my storm. Then the iDrive was prompting me for a confirmation.. Then, the storm prompted me to confirm that the car was trying to access BT and asked me to allow it to pair.. This happened again the next time I started the car, but I noticed that I had to change the option on the storm to ALWAYS allow the car to pair automatically.
Sorry for the rough explaination, hope this helps!

are you sure you pair it right? you have to make sure your password that you enter from your phone is the same password that you going to enter into your bluetooth in the car!
1st: start your pairing from your bluetooth in your car!
2nd: start your pairing from your cell!
3rd: your cell should pick up your bluetooth from your car then you will need to add it in to your cell. then your cell should ask for a password, which you can add any password. most phone are comes with 0000 as a password.
4th: then make sure in your car bluetooth, you also have to enter your password too! which is 0000. then it should be able to pair it!
i do that the first time i pair my bluetooth, and i don't know i have to enter the password in my car too! try it to see it will work for you or not? cause bluetooth is just a wireless...i don't know have any compatible or not compatible to your phone. either you will have a good connecction or bad connection!

Thanks for the suggestions. I still can not get the pairing to occur. I cleared my old phone off the M5's list of paired phones so it has no pair phones. I started the pairing command on the M5 and then started the search command on the Storm. The storm found the M5's bluetooth and a screen came up and asked for the pin number so I put in 0000 and hit the return key. The M5 then asked me to comfirm the number so I put in 0000 with the i drive into the M5. From this point neither the Storm or the M5 asked for anything else and after 20 to 30 seconds both the Storm and the M5 said that pairing was unsuccesful. Am I missing something, such as a setting on the phone or in the car? Neither Verizon or BMW wants to be very helpful.
