Guys,

Thought it might be c ?70k but my dealer today confirmed ?61,700 and massive basic spec:-

19" wheels
Full merino leather
HUD
M servotronic steering
sunroof
Navi Pro
Hi-Fi speaker system
Heated front seats
Bi-Zenons
adaptive headlights
metallic paint
and so on.....

That's only 10k more than my specc'ed up 545i - 10k for a v10 - i think so

:'( YIKES!...Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 61,700 in British Pounds equivalent to about a little over $109, 000 in American dollars?? Sounds to me like these cars are getting WAYYY too pricey...

Now all we need is Bush for another 4 years to help the dollar get even weaker...

Just great.

<_< Some degree of truth to that......globally speaking, of course.
But we're always getting the shaft one way or another;;like the fact that we don't get those great economic diesel engines that you have!

Truthfully though, Mercedes has begun offering their E-Class diesel model here........perhaps BMW will follow in their footsteps (for once )??

it doesn't sound that bad...well, i mean for the people who can afford it. my friend bought a e55 for well over $90k and it doesn't have 19" wheels, no hud, no navi pro, no m servotronic steering, and no adaptive headlights (i guess but w/xenon). and it'll be cheaper when the car comes to the states.

RichReg,

Don't worry too much about the price. Remember the price in US will be somewhere 10K USD less than what British paid. It's just 99999.99 USD
