I just did the LC again. The car will rev up to approximately 3000-4000 rpm and start spinning the tires and leave 50-75 ft of tracks and automatically shift into D2 and D3 and so on. I'll have to get 2 video camera's and a means to support them and one outside to show the results of my cars LC abilities.
If someone else can try the procedures I outlined above it would confirm or deny the results.

If you select D1 the SMG shift VERY slow!
RTFM!
50-75 ft tracks seems like you are just dropping the clutch?
Can you please try the LC as it is described in th manual! It would be very interesting to hear what result you got.

Sorry for the confusion. I just read how to properly perfrom the LC. My car will sit at the 1600 rpm like everyone elses. I was doing the acceleration assistant from my 545i owners manual, and thought that was LC since the procedure for LC is not in my M5 owners manual.
To krispykreme sorry you got your car wet.

Is it true the US version of the M5 does not get the launch control option? My buddy just bought his M5 and tried to do launch control but nothing happened. Someone said that the US M5 does not have launch control. Please tell me this is not true.
Hey there I am having my limiter removed , i checked the price for BMW, Hartge and AC Schnitzer, the price is about the same with a VAT form. Your question about the launch control, are you talking about the power button on the console? If not please explain. I see if either of the above can make the neccessary adjustments. Maan I love this email site, and you guys are great with info.
