Hi - Hopefully this topic is in the proper forum...if not, i apologize!

I am really interested in this M that I found at a local dealership. I know you'd prob have to see the car to give more accurate opinions (however not always the case in these forums, ), however any feedback would be appreciated. Or, if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should as about or what to look for specifically, when I see the car in person, it would be helpful!

I couldnt get the link to bring you directly to the car, so I also apologize for asking you to do some leg work to get there!

its on bmwgallerynorwood.com - under pre-owned - its a silver 06 M5, 36k miles, and they are asking $47,839

Also, someone told me that the SMG has big lags between gear changes in drive - ever hear or experience that?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

I just saw and read the 'How does SMG work' thread...so disregard my above question about lags. Thanks

Does it have a warranty?? If not it could be a deal-breaker!

My dealer told me that they never certify M's...it has the standard 50k/4yr, but not chance at extending maintenance and it will never be a CPO.

There are actually some CPO M5's out there, (I'm sure somebody will chime in with a link to them), perhaps it's just THIS dealer that won't certify this car!

They had a CPO'ed one in FL for 44k with 42k miles. Also you CAN get maint as WELL as a extended warranty through BMW as long as the car is currently under warranty. I am still waiting from my dealer for a price. Lot of wrong info out about these cars.

If a dealer will not CPO a car it's due to cost not because they cant. Also run a carfax, I find alots of 2006's with 3 owners on them or bodywork done in the 42-44k price range.

P.S. dont talk to the sales retards about warranty, talk to the finance people.

...I take it 48k is too much? lol

Dont look now, but they just posted another 06 for almost 53k - about 27k miles. This is the best part - ITS A CPO!!!! He JUST told me that they NEVER certify M's! WTF?!
