I have been hovering over this for a couple of weeks now; http://www.finn.no/finn/car/object?finnkode=16506250

It is located a good distance from where I live.. about 6 hour drive, currently the only used E60 M5 for sale in Norway.
If I find time this week, I'll go have a look at it.

What do you recommend I look for before purchasing? It is showing 61.000km or 38.000 miles

I love Interlagos Blue! If it's an early build car when the M5 just came out, you should check the service history to see if there were any issues related to SMG or VANOS. Those were common problems in the early cars.

What options does the car have? Looks like it has HUD but not the ventilated seats.

Thnx for the reply EuroCarFan

I will most certainly check the service history.

Check the rear diff. If fluid is leaking, the previous owner has probably put the car through hell. This should be of concern.

Thnx, C.

Should I book a full check at an authorized bmw dealership maybe?
Maybe the only way of knowing if the car is 100%...

Is there any way they can read out how many times the previous owner has used the launch control etc?

I forgot what the issues were with the SMG. I think it was the pump; or was it the VANOS pump? hahaha. If you go on M5board and do a search for the "red cog", you'll find many threads about it. It's a warning symbol related to the transmission that comes up on the dash and people call it "the red cog of death".

Most of those options listed are actually standard except for the Head-Up-Display. Some other key options are Comfort Acess, Full Leather, Multifunction Seats, Ventilated Seats, Rear Power Sunshades, Rear Folding Seats w/Ski Bag, Rear Heated Seats, Rear Side Airbags....

I'm listing the options for the 2006 model year in the US. There were more options added to cars after that. What year is this car you're looking at?

Yes you should. Make sure you go to an independant dealer NOT associated with the car or the owner. You want an unbiased opinion.

And yes, they can tell how many times.

I just checked the VIN number.. this is an imported car.. (imported late 2006).

The car is a 11/2004.

Looks like full leather.
No comfort access...
It has the rear side airbags tho.. that's a plus!
